Learn to make and use natural, environment-friendly laundry products! Using old-fashioned ‘tried and true’ ingredients, we’ll produce a traditionally made laundry bar (our own version of Fels Naptha) that can be shredded and combined with other ingredients to produce a tough-on-dirt laundry powder.
This is a 4-in-1 class: see how cold-process soap is made AND how to use that as a base for making stain sticks AND laundry powder. PLUS get introduced to Soap Nuts! You will take home a laundry bar, a bag of laundry powder, and a pouch of soap nuts. PLUS: BONUS info on natural fabric softeners and rinsing agents AND dryer sheets and balls! Everything to get you started on doing GREEN laundry!
Appropriate for ages 16 and older; closely supervised children between the ages of 12 and 16 are welcome with a parent. Due to the fact that the soap-making process includes the use of sodium hydroxide, this class is not recommended for children under the age of 12. Children 15 and under receive a 25% Tuition Discount when attending with an adult.
